Text in German, English, French, Russian and Chinese - photographs by René Staud / texts by Jürgen Lewandowski. The presentation of the Porsche 901 at the 1963 IAA marked a milestone in automotive history. The name had to be changed because Peugeot owned the patent for the 0 in the middle of the model name, but then the 911 could not be stopped on its way to becoming a sports car icon. The success story ranges from the original model to the Carrera RS 2.7, the fastest production car of its time with the characteristic rear spoiler, the so-called ducktail, to the current 991 generation. The well-known car photographer René Staud uses his striking style to let the most important models from the large 911 family shine in bright splendor for the 50th anniversary.
